01. THE GENESIS
In an era dominated by micro-trends and disposable fashion, Smoked Threads was founded in India as an architectural study in knitwear. We set out to create the ultimate t-shirt—a garment that doesn't rely on graphics to make a statement, but instead makes a statement through weight, silhouette, and texture.
Our name reflects our dye process: raw threads that are smoked, pigment-dyed, and enzyme washed to capture a worn-in, vintage soul that is built to last a lifetime.

02. THE FABRICATION
Standard fast-fashion t-shirts are made from light 140GSM–180GSM single-jersey cotton. They stretch, they sag, and they drape flat against the body.
Smoked Threads products are engineered with custom-spun 320GSM combed organic cotton in a double-jersey interlock structure. By using two sets of needles to knit interlocking loops, we produce a fabric that is twice as thick, remarkably durable, and holds a rigid, boxy drape that hangs elegantly off the shoulders.
03. THE CAPSULE PHILOSOPHY
We do not release seasons or follow global calendars. We believe in capsule drops. Drop N°01 features five core color segments—Noir, Ashen, Ivory, Greige, and Obsidian.
Our production is bounded by craft and detail, not scale. Every single garment is numbered, pigment washed to give a unique char fading along the seams, and packaged in reusable custom canvas bags with a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity.
Once a drop sells out, its specific pigment dye sequence is archived forever. This ensures your piece remains a unique heirloom.
